The City Market
The Charleston City Market, recognized as one of the oldest in the country, was founded in 1788 by Charles Cotesworth Pinckney. Originally, the Charleston City Market was a place to purchase meat, seafood, vegetables, and poultry. Today, the market is made up of unique and varied vendors and is a top destination for guests visiting the Lowcountry.
The Rewined crew owes a lot to the Charleston City Market! In 2009, founder Adam Fetsch first sold his re-purposed wine bottle candles in the night market and slowly worked up to selling in the day market. Word of Rewined candles quickly spread among locals and visitors alike and is a contributing factor to Rewined's early success. Today, even though Rewined is sold in over 2,000 retail locations across the globe, we continue to man the booth at the City Market! The team loves spending time outside and meeting the many visitors to the market each day.
When and where can we find you?
The Candle Crew is present in the market most days, however sometimes we may not be there (we blame it on the wine!). Sorry if we missed you! Please check our schedule below for market availability. Hope to see you soon.
